Firm choice has agreed to priority remark, but UCAS says 'unsuccessful'

So, i missed my first my one grade ABB needed (AAB) turns out it seems there is an error with my results and once piece of coursework hasn't been marked. I rang Sheffield and told them, and they said if i could get it priority remarked and lifted to an A, then they'd accept me providing it was done before the 31st of August. I've spoke to College to find out exactly what went wrong, and now I'm waiting to hear back from them. However, my UCAS track now says that i have firmed my insurance choice, and that Sheffield is now unsuccessful. Is this anything to worry about? Is what they said on the phone this morning still true? I'm not obliged to go to my insurance choice now?

Contact your insurance and let them know that there's a chance you might still go to your firm.

Also ring back sheffield and explain about the remark and ask them to confirm in writing that they will honour your place if you meet your offer by the 31st August (UCAS rules say they have to but it at least means you have a record that they knew about it). Also ask them what they can do if your remark comes back after the 31st - often a university will try to hold a place (or offer you a place if someone else drops out) or at worst offer you a deferred entry place for next year.
