Chord changing comes with practise. you just got to do it over and over and over again. try and look for the easiest and shortest way to do it though, if you can keep the same finger on the same string then do that.
Learn the chord G and you'll then be able to play all sorts of songs. and learn power chords as they will enable you to play any song in the world (albeit without some of the subtlety that some songs require. goto www.ultimate-guitar.com awesome tabs for songs and the forums contain loads of free excellent advice on playing, learning guitar.

Hi,
Anyone got some easy guitar songs to play for a beginner, using only the chords A D E? The only one I can sort of play is Mull of Kintyre and it's getting boring now :frown:

Also, I seem to have a major problem changing chords quickly, so that the song basically stops until I have adjusted the fingers on my left hand, any one got any tips or tricks to help me speed up?

the best song u can play with them 3 chords is oasis live forever

but most beatles songs are just simple a d e chords

Live forever has 6 chords, actually.

Just keep practicing and eventually you'll be able to change between chords swiftly.

when I started out I played green day time of your life, that was quite simple
also oasis wonderwall hasn't got many chors and 7 nation army by the white stripes, though i don't remember exactly how many
7 nation army is just the E string isn't it. As i remember it goes (in tab) 7-5-3-2--7-5-3-2--7-5-3-5-3-2

It just comes naturally , you'll be surprised how quickly if you practice intently--first cut is the deepest is just three chords
