I live near Warrington Campus, but i study on the Chester Campus

Hi there,

I've got a bit of a problem here. I live directly opposite the Chester Warrington Campus in Fearnhead. I will be studying Business Studies (4 Year sandwich course) However, the course is undertaken at the chester campus, which is approx 25 miles way. I have no trouble traveling there, as i can drive. Its just a bit of a hassle really.

However, i would rather study at the Warrington campus. Is there anyway i can study at thiscampus? As i belive they do the course "Business", and surely they would have the teachers and facilties for my course?

Also, would someone happen to know a typical time table for a business studies course. (duration of lectures/seminars, how many days a week etc)

I will be asking on induction day in Chester, but i would like your views on this.

hey i am doing the same course but i dont know any information about it sorry

i wasnt aware of any business courses at warrington, just thought they were all held in the rigg building

I'm from near Warrington and if I was living at home I'd get the train from Newton to Chester everyday. Can't you get the train from Warrington to Chester?

Surely if you could do your course at the Warrington campus then they would have given you the option considering you live near by?

Yes, there is a train from warrington to Chester - how long do you reckon it would take? also, would the train be flexible for hours? I've worked out it would take a 45 min drive to chester from where i live. (it really aint that far, but i don't want to me making more than 1 trip a day there)

Freshers week is out the window i suppose :frown:

The uni have given me no option yet, because officially, they don't know i live in warrington. as i've only been here a couple of days. Was living in Shropshire. But next monday, i'll do some enquires i think. I'm sure they can sort something out for me.

I'm hoping i could use warrington facilties like libraries, gym, as it's only a minute walk from me.

I was thinking about that - i probably could do yeah.

Do you have any idea about the timetable? How many hours a day we are supposed to be there for etc?

I assume you're already on a waiting list but take whatever you can when it comes up at the Chester campus!

And definately try and spend as much time there, make some friends etc otherwise you'll miss out.
