Hey!!

I heard on the radio a couple of minutes ago that deodorants cause cancer due to the substances they contain. Do you think that this is true?

So this is true for all types of deodorants?

So what do you use instead?

So it's not because she wants to be percieved as a 'too cool for school' messy rock chick?

Hmm. Fish, Crisps, Coffee, Tea, Fruit, Meat, Vegetables etc all apparently cause cause cancer too... there is nothing left to eat.

Sorry, I know you're talking about deodrant... I also have no idea if all those cause cancer. It's just annoying when these 'scientists' say everything causes cancer and yet we aren't all dead

Use the roll on ones, they're more fun and it's like colouring in!

it was just on the news - it's only ones that contain certain ingredients - you have to check the label

Yeah, I heard that a while ago.

It's the deodrants that contain magnesium and aluminium in mainly, I think. I actually found one that doesn't contain that.

I'm amused you're actually bothered about this. Do you own a mobile phone? Do you have electrical things in your house?

Maybe strap a Geiger Counter to your head.

Lol, you won't be able to get it unless you want to fly over to Israel. I got it by the Dead Sea.

its only deodorants with a certain chemical in them. they havent yet proved that that chemical being in a breast that's had cancer is BECAUSE of the deodorants, they just know that that chemical is in some deodorants-though only about 5% of ALL deodorants. Aluminium is in many/most deodorants and that doesn't cause cancer, but has been found to lead to a disease (i forget which one) 95% of deodorants don't contain the chemical linked to cancer though. if you want an aluminium free deodorant, the only one i've fround is called bionsen but is only at all effective if you use the aerosol spray. dearyxxx

Name something that's not linked to causing cancer. Then, I'd be shocked.
