You have to take some of the info from this website with a pinch of salt! and also..King said that they will not incorporate A* for 2011 entry which is a shame!! to be honest, i'm not sure the exact things they are looking for, they havnt specified it as they did for the GEP, all they're saying is that they look at every thing from grades, ps, refecrences to ukcat when picking people for interviews.

I was one of the last group to be rejected by kings without on interview last year (early April). I have 5 A* and had 645 then...they said that it meant i was being considered alot whether to throw me an interview or not. So much for 8A* and 700 ukcat!! i was miles off!!

If they are using a sliding scale would my 6A* and 4A at GCSE and 652.5 at UKCAT be sufficient for interview??

im not feeling too confident:frown:

It could do..Im just saying academics isnt everything. have an amazing ps and reference could balance out the weak grades and scores, no one knows the answer to that pan not even the admissions office yet!!! To be honest im not really sure if it was early april or late march but it was definately one of the last packs!!

ok, I've decided to just go for it. Not going for Bristol anymore. Academics: 7a* GCSE, 670 UKCAT, 5A* A2 predictions.

No I think you're ok. 7 A*'s. I don't think they'd judge whether you deserve an interview solely on your GCSEs and UKCAT, that'd be stupid. They should take everything into account as well. But GCSEs and UKCAT are very important it seems.

Okay, now I just feel sorry for you :frown: I've seen the figures for international applicants for medicine... very best of luck to you! But those A levels are pretty fantastic, so I'm sure you'll be fine  where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

well hopefully the number of ppl applying will be lower than the figure for home students...that should slightly increase my chances I think...I m Chinese and I went to school in Edinburgh.
