What do you do to make yourself feel better?

I know we all get kinda down in the dumps sometimes, so what do you find helps cheer you up? Just now I feel really really low and I can't put my finger on why. I'm in a loving relationship,I've got good friends,I'm happy with my appearance, happy with my social life,I've got decent grades and school hasn't been too pressurising lately but today I just couldn't face going in to school because I feel so crap.

I wouldn't say I'm depressed just feeling blue, usually I can cheer myself up by having something to look forward to like the fact I'm going out tommorow night with my friends, but that doesn't seam to make me feel any better :s-smilie: and next year I'm going to T in the park and hopefully taking a couple months out before uni to go to france but these seam ages away so they don't do it either.

I've tried listening to music which sometimes does the trick but that doesn't help, I've tried chilling out but then I start to feel guilty that I'm not doing something productive. Can anyone suggest how to get myself out of this?

Well try doing something active. when ever i feel really down i tend go running or dance. Music and meditating can also help but i know that doing summin energetic releases endorphins and that cheers you up. Try starting summin like running or gym or dance etc, if u join a club u may even make new mates, sometimes it can just be boredom, i mean rite now i got 1 year left before uni, ive got good grades, no pressure frm skool, but im bored so my mood has been fluctuating. maybe your bored with your life and want to have a change of scene if you get wot i mean?
turn up rock music really loud and shout the lyrics.
I hang out with my best mates and have a laugh. Its possibly the most annoying part of feeling low when you cant even put your finger on the cause! But when i hang out with my mates it gets me out of the silly mood of feeling low and puts me back on a high! Sometimes it only takes having a giggle with your mates to come to.
 hope you cheer up soon
I usually go for a run, or play tennis, or do something energetic, then have a good sleep and go out for a meal or to the pictures, or something I wouldn't do normally. A change from everyday life works best for me. Even if it's just a wander around town and buy yourself something nice. And then just stick it out, make sure you're not alone a lot of the time, left to think about being down. Get your friends around you to take your mind off how you're feeling and before you know it you'll be having a good laugh with them.

Write all your probs down...it helps SO much! And watch a good girly film ! Hope u feel better
A mug of hot chocolate, some marshmallows, a magasine and a chick flick like 'There's Something About Mary' or 'the Wedding Singer'.

And I like to start the fire up in my fireplace and sit on the rug getting cosy with a nice fleecy blanket around me.

That works alot.

Oh, and have a cry, once you get it out, the better you feel! Sometimes you just need a cry.

Perhaps you feel you've nothing left to aspire to in the short-term? Treat the cause, not the symptoms: formulate objectives for yourself. Nobody likes a malaise.

I usually go lift some heavy ass weights down the gym, or go for a spin. 8000rpm scream always does it for me.
