If I take a gap year off and re-apply next year, can I ask my school to write my reference still? even after I graduate?

Hi,

You can indeed - they should provide you with all the help that you need when re-appling to Oxbridge/UCAS. If they don't (I'd be extremely surprised), contact UCAS/Oxbridge and see what they recommend.

I think schools are obliged to write you references for 3 years or something after leaving. That shouldn't just be for UCAS but also for jobs etc. If concerned approach your school now though.
