Nike Air trainers- does the air bubble burst easily??

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new pair of trainers atm. Ive been wearing Nike trainers without the air bubble in the heel for years, and like them.

I'm looking at pairs of Nike trainers with air bubbles in the heel. Like this:

Can anyone tell me:

*does the air bubble burst easily eg if you stand on a small stone/jump does stairs
*if the air bubble does burst, the shoe collapses, and squeaks and is practically unwearable, right??
* are the any more comfortable than Nike trainers that have no air bubble??

No, the air bubble will not burst easily. It's made out of really thick plastic. Other parts of the shoe will start falling apart before the bubble bursts with normal wear. I used to be a bit trainer obsessed and have an old favourite pair and the bubble did eventually burst but still perfectly wearable and no squeaking!

If you want comfort then you should go for New Balance. They may not look that great (apart from some of their collaborations which are immense) but they are seriously comfortable. The New Balance that are made in England are some of the highest quality trainers you can get.

I’ve bought two including the threes and the new tech lacing ones and both of the bubbles popped from me using them daily outside (I’m not sure if that’s normal though). Yes when it pops air comes out every step and just collapses down, one of mine had a very small hole on the heel which made it impossible to wear again.
