Help! I Missed My Enrolment Date!!

I was looking through my student package I recieved a few weeks back and I have only just realised that I was supposed to go an enrolment date on the 15th at 10:00am with my course tutor. I was down at the university on the 10th of september, just to check in and recieve my keys but I've completely forgetton about this, and with the semester starting on monday I think screwed! :frown:

Any advice or help on what I should do?

Ring the University and explain the situation. It may look unfavourably upon you, but I think it would be the best thing for you to do. Whatever you do, don't sit around on your lonesome and fail to contact the uni!

Are you sure? Because to be honest I think I'm done for, we have some horrible ring twice phone rule that allows only our closest friends to contact us (it was to do with my dad's job, how f*cking stupid is that?!), but I'm yet to recieve anything in the post to tell me that they've withdrawn me and whatnot, so I'm not sure where I stand!

Don't you have an email address for someone at the Uni, if you do then email straight away explain your situation to them. Can you enrol online check your stuff out?
On saturday or sunday you stand nowhere. Send the admissions office an email now. Are you actually at Uni now? or did you go back home? First thing monday morning go down and explain honestly your mistake. They can't turf you out just like that. don't panic.

My track at ucas.com doesn't say anything different than what it did on 15th, just "accepted firm".

No I'm not at uni and was preparing to move in on sunday, but now I'm not sure. :frown:

I'll give them an email about it then and see what happens.

Sh*t my parents are gonna be pissed when they come home....
Call them at 9am on monday morning, or better yet go to see them first thing monday morning. They are more likely able to sort it out straight away if u turn up in person.

And I still have an accomodation contract there of course so that would probably be a good idea.

Does anyone know what the chances are of me still being in the course by any chance?

1000 to 1 on.
I should think you are not the first to forget to enrol on time and you will not be that last.

Good Luck let us know the outcome
Lol let's hope so (if I'm interpreting odds properly).

Would it be best perhaps if I went down on sunday, since that's when I was planning to go down anyway? Just so I could get to the engineering department early without the fuss of monday morning traffic and such.

No need to panic about this.

Just go into Uni on Monday, go to your department and explain what’s happened, and they’ll probably send you to the Academic Registry/Student records for late enrolment.

It won’t affect you at all. University administration wont be open on a Sunday! Just go in and ask what you need to do on Monday morning.
Just make sure you contact them as soon as possible. Don't leave it any longer and there shouldn't be a problem. Most registrations are on longer than the specific time that's been allocated-ours is a week long!

The key issue is not to leave it any longer than Monday. Be there early, explain the situation, and you should be OK.

Good luck.

You may well be able to register late, I think we can up to a certain date, although they may charge a late registration fee (about £25 IIRC). But as has been said before, go in and talk to somebody in your department first think monday morning (and yes, might be a good idea to go tomorrow so you're there first thing).

Do bear in mind though that it may well mean that you get your loan late as the SLC wait for confirmation of your enrolment from your uni before authorising payment.
Will it have any effect on when I start my course? I'm hoping to start attending lectures a.s.a.p so I don't get too far behind.
Shouldn't have any impact on the course-just get your registration sorted! And might I suggest a diary for your university career-they won't give you leeway about getting assignments in late-it will seriously cost you.
You should be able to enrol late, although there may be a fee charged by the uni seeing as it was your fault that you didn't turn up.
