Is the extraction of iron a redox reaction? or is that electrolysis of aluminium? or purification of copper? or titanium?

all of these extraction methods/reactions seem to be clumping together and my notes are helping much.

can anyone help?

Iron is redox (using carbon), aluminum is electrolysis, tianium is Kroll process (reducing with carbon results in carbide formation).
