Blackpool - Has it gone down hill?

Just spend the day here and there was loads of drunks shouting in the streets at 3:00pm and all the pubs and bars had loud music bursting out with disco lights, they all had bouncers outside them too.

I didn't enjoy it at all, it took us ages to find some where to have a nice quiet pint in and guess what, it was wetherspoons which back home is one of the rougher pubs.

Brighton manages to be a good party seaside town without being rough so why can't Blackpool manage it?

Go to St Annes :p:

No I mean Brighton as in West Sussex on the south coast. That place has great night life yet dosn't seem to atract the same amount of trouble. Southport is nice but lacks the clubbing scene Brighton has.

Has it ever been uphill?
It HAS been uphill before, but it's become a corporate entity.

Does Blackpool still have that really cool swimming pool opposite the pleasure beach? I'm pretty sure it was called the Sandcastle, it was immense and it had mini golf over the pool? Sweetness, and a play park! But it was wet and I slipped and feel :frown:
I think that most UK seaside resorts have the same problem as Blackpool. Its not that Blackpool's gone downhill, its that Brighton's largely the exception to the rule.

Remember when most of these places were first built it was before the aeroplane, and long before easyJet and Ryanair. Now everyone just ****s off to Spain.

I live 10 mins away from there in a place called Lytham!

Blackpool and St. Annes are both pretty rubbish.... I NEVER go to Blackpool as it is so trashy, but Lytham is the place to be!!
