Hello. I am reading Shakespeare's Romeo and Julliet in class. Our final exam will be a timed, surprise theme essay. I have been thinking of a number of themes that might be presented on the exam date; however, the obvious ones (such as the perseverance of love, irony etc..) will most likely be too lengthy to be actually given to us on the exam day. What other possible themes/thesis can be given out? Seeing as this forum is very professional on this topic, I was hoping for some opinions. Thank you.
