Help - St Andrews!!

I'm applying to do a psychology BA or MA at uni, and really really want to apply to St Andrews because I really like it there (my brother went there, and I went up there quite a lot to visit so know the area) but don't think I'd get the high grades they want for psychology - can anyone explain about the thing that lets you transfer your course to something else after a year or two years?? My brother mentioned it, but I don't really understand! Thank you!!

I transfered from a different uni into the second year at st andrews, but had to get a 2:1 last year, so if you're trying to get in with lower grades then it might not happen. I'd already been guarranteed an offer if I applied, however, due to a very close call the year before. You just apply through ucas and put point of entry as '2'. As for transfering between courses... no idea sorry.
