George and Saturn, when Penny says "your application will be processed in the next few days" that really means you will get your offer really soon. So don't get worried, you will really get the offer in the end!

Btw, I was admitted to the Queens' College yesterday (It took about 3 weeks to receive the decision - I didn't nominate any college.). All offer conditions are satisfied now and I'm waiting for the confirmation of admission.

Thanks for encouraging us  I'm wondering what the offer conditions might be in my case. Is anyone required to take GMAT or retake IELTS in this year?

I'm an international student, and I didn't do the IELT's exam in the first place.. so I doubt u'l be asked to retake IELT's.. beside from what I've heard, conditional offer's do not include any GMAT conditions, though i'm not entirely sure abt this.. Neways goodluck with everthing.. ...

No, when Penny said "the next few days", I did hope that the results would be known within this week. But now we have to wait until next week

My status is that I have been offered a place there..Moreover, I have seen my conditions (I have 5 of them!!), but I think that all of them are something technical.. I m sure that your conditions will be like that too

Hi

I'm doing some research into the MPhil Finance course at Cambridge, but I'm having trouble understanding how competitive it is.

If I achieved first class marks in every exam in my 1st and 2nd years studying BSc Maths and Economics at LSE and interned at RBS in trading in my 2nd year, then would you say I have a very strong chance of getting in, strong chance or just an average chance? I know it depends on your personal statement, references and GMAT/GRE scores as well, but let's assume they're all up to standard.

I haven't applied yet (will do next year) but if you don't get in with that then I'm genuinely screwed. That's a very strong application. I'm guessing you haven't actually got that yet?

No, I still need to sit my 2nd year exams, but I'm realistically expecting 3 out of 4 firsts and trying very hard for 4/4 (mainly because then I'd be guaranteed to graduate with a 1st as long as I pass 3rd year exams with 40%).

I hope my posts don't make me sound like a douche, I'm genuinely curious as to the competitiveness of MPhil Finance (bearing in mind people from MIT/Harvard/etc might be applying).
