100% not classy but some can look great, e.g Mikkel Kessler's tattoo and some can look tacky.

You can't group all tattoos like that, obviously a playboy bunny/winne the pooh/ football team crest etc are a lot more chavvy then a design thats had a lot of thought put in to it and done by an artist that actually knows what they're doing.
I have a snake tattooed in my butt crack.
I wouldnt say it was classy, but it definately isnt chavvy. Its just what i wanted to do.
For the most part I think they are tacky. There are a few exceptions though.

Depends on the artist, concept and most importantly the meaning...

It TOTALLY depends on a) The person
b) What it is, colours used
c) Placement
d) The tattoo artist

Some are as chavvy as they get, when others ARE classy, but its very hard to call a tatt classy.. I have one, its in black and grey, 6 roses, with black tribal vine and shading. Its wraps around my left side (It travels up to my ribs and just above my pant line, and curves around onto half of my lower back) So its not a 'tramp stamp', and was done professionally. and yes, its kinda big
Its not chavvy, and I love it. Tbh I'm a sucker for guys with a tatt(s) too.
Yeah erm, essay/rant over hahaha.
p.s. as long as the person who has the tattoos like it, thats all that matters :P and everyone has different tastes... Im not going to get a snake in between my bum cheeks

What do you think?
Are tattoos chavvy and trampy as hell, or are they classy?

It depends what kind of tattoo. My boyfriend has two and they are certainly not chavvy, but i would not say tattoos are ever classy, i don't think they are intended to be.

I vote chavvy

Wouldn't call him a chav.

Cattle get branded, the working class get tattoos.
I don't think they are chavvy (maybe we all have a different opinion on what chav/chavvy means). But where I come from, a tattoo wouldn't be classed as chavvy, not classy, but doesn't mean they are chavvy either.

Trampy maybe :yep:
depends - most of them look tacky IMO
Victoria Beckham's tattoo behind her neck is quite tastefully done.

99% of tattoos are not classy.

However, there are some that I find somewhat nice, like:

I think it depends on the tattoo and the person. Some tattoos are real works of art - some are poorly-drawn cartoon devils...

What if my life resembled a poorly drawn cartoon devil, then would it be ok to get one?

Chavvy. I do not like them at all.

I tink it's a case of one man's trash is another man's treasure. I've seen some absolute horrors, but the people who wear them so proudly treasure them so hard that it doesn't even matter what anyone else thinks.

It's a case of opinion. I find tattoos without personality and those which are not uniquely drawn to be the most unattractive and clichéd. But whatever. I don't give two flying monkeys about what someone else is wearing on their bodies as long as they like it!
