So, anyone else walking round with hall chants stuck in their heads? I had 'Rutland take it up the arse' in my head, which was unfortunate, seeing as I'm a Rutlander! Yesterday, it was 'Rutland 'til I die!'... which I am, of course
Wasn't it something to do with Rutland being the last single sex hall or something?
Sorry, but that's total fallacy. I don't know about pre-1999, but in the 1999-2000 academic year, Hu Stu and Cripps were all-male halls, FB and FN were all-female, the rest were mixed. In the 2000-2001 academic year, every hall went mixed.
Hu Stu was actually better as an all-male hall. Why? Because in the evening, all the girls from FB, FN and the all-girl floors in every hall would turn up to Hu Stu bar (the best bar) and get sloshed with us gents. It was great. Then Hu Stu went mixed and they stopped coming. So I moved out.
two days ago at the rumble in the jungle, i heard them dooin all sortsa chants.. but they were so loose with their words i didnt understand much of it..
nonetheless i think it went something like oh bonington hall is so good oh bonington hall is so great
someone please correct me.. its hard to understand what half drunk folk wif british accents sound like..
