Buses to asda

Does anyone know if there are any buses I can take from the uni to Asda on saturday? I'm arriving at uni on my ownsome and don't have a car. Just wondering where I can go to get food shopping and how I can get there.

ASDA might deliver if you live on Alexandra Park. Otherwise one of your housemates might have a car and take you if you ask nicely!

damn yeh. shopping is gonna be a bit of a treck without a car. Dont realy fancy getting the bus everytime i need shopping.

well if you are desperate for something there is a spar and a co-op (or summit like tht) on site , although i have heard the spar is mega expensive and the co-op is near grizedale, so if like me your the other end of the campus then itll be a wee bit of a trek

oh cool, i didn't realise there was a co-op on campus. That'll do until i've got time to sort myself out.

Its not really a co-op they own the stuff there but its run by LUSU its called the central store. Spa is expensive but their hot meals are quite nice - as is Diggles.

For food shopping you can get an X2, 2, or 2A to the bus station and just opposite is Sainsburys and Kwik save.

Oh brilliant that will save me trying to figure out how to get to Asda. I notice its a bit away from the bus station. Thanks for letting me know. :smile:
