Porn doesn't offend me I have absolutely no problems with anyone looking at and enjoying porn - that wasn't my point....my point was I find people who pretend to be reading a newspaper when their priority is to have a quick perve to be sadcases....if you're that ashamed of your sexuality that you try to cover up indulging in a bit of porn you must be a really crap lay*.

*note the use of you is in the general sense not aimed at the people reading this message specifically.
Point taken - but its all a bit of fun - it lightens the gravity of news stories when Melanie 22, from watford airs her views about the Iraq war while her boobs are gently caressed by the open air

i an see why people get offended by page three. Half the time the women look like they're thinking about what they're going to buy when they go to sainsbury's later rather than feeling degregated by the situation.

I'm a girl but I couldn't care less. Besides if you buy the Sun or the Star you don't read it for up to date political and social comentary, its more like a comic book.

I buy it for the easy cross-words and the lambasting it gives the politicians every now and again - i dont take it seriously ur right = it is a little too right-wing for me sometimes

I don't buy it anytime but when you're at work and bored in the canteen the problem pages are funny. I cant beleive how many people who are having affairs write to Dr Miriam

Alot of them seem to have very intelligent opinions and make valid points! Is it morally right to stop this mixture of intellect and eye-candy from reaching the general public on a daily basis? No it isn't!

Its not exactly porn is it? Soft porn at the most, all you see are the breasts you don't get to see the fanny or anything.

I've no problem with page 3. I find the hypocricsy of 'CHECK OUT JENNA, 16' appearing alongside articles with titles such as 'All peadophiles should have their balls cut off and be left to rot and die' quite sickening though.

I've never seen that. Besides I think all the models are over 18.

And what I don't understand is, where is the link is between page 3 and domestic violence? It doesn't discourage domestic violence? It doesn't encourage it either.

she also suggested that it puts pressure on women - but the women on page 3 arent all perfect - she should ban those fashion mags which are filled with images of pencil-thin models - therein lies this societal pressure of which she speaks
Exactly all the page 3 models have real tits too!

But if that's what you want FHM and Maxim provide similar eye candy and the same style of entertaining "news" without pretending to be anything but a soft porn mag.

But if you're still embarrassed about buying soft porn openly then go ahead and buy your daily Scum - I'll reserve my right to consider you more than a little repressed and a bit crap in bed
