yeah a lot of people complain about it, but to be honest i think its quite liberating. I'm not saying i enjoy it but when I see all my freinds getting down about thier relationships and come on here and see the problems people have it starts to have its up sides and i cant help but feel a little like i am free from the chains of oppression. anyone agree?

I enjoy being in a relationship, but I was single for a year in between relationships and was perfectly happy. I'm happy either way - I pity people who think they need to be in a relationship all the time.

Being single doesn't make me unhappy, but you can't beat being in love.

i find it rather annoying when i see younger people kissing and cuddling or have gone out with the same person for years. I just see that as rather dull and boring. There were at least 5 couples at my old school who were engaged, which i thought was pretty frightening. I would feel that i hadn't lived my life.

But anyway I've been permanently single so probabley can't say one way or another really, but its not so bad... people might call me superficial but money, knowledge and power can actually be good replacements for a relationship: but of course not everyone can have that.

At this stage in my life I wouldn't want to be anything other than single. There is no way I could put up with the emotional mind**** which comes as a bonus with relationships.

For those of you worried about being single spend some time reading the threads in this section and ask yourself "Can I be bothered with all that?". Cause lets me honest, 80% of these threads are just a joke.
