Does anyone else have offers 4 trinity hall this year or know much about the place?

I almost applied there last year. What do you want to know? It's very small and friendly and it's on the river, which is always good. It's next door to Trinity, which isn't really - the two have this big rivalry thing going on, I think mainly because Tit Hall were there first and Trinity stole their name... Oh yes, and it has an interesting nickname. What else do you want to know about the place? I might be able to help.
do you know any way there is to get one of my friends in for medicine? She got rejected......

heh..on a more serious note....do you know anything about a rumour that the inner colleges (town centre) are taking science students according to a 3:1 boys:girls ratio....one of the interviewers told someone in their interview........

phew......lucky i'm a bloke then

Told someone who told someone? I can't imagine Oxbridge would dare to discriminate against female scientists and even if they did do you really think they'd TELL someone??! Nah, I think this is probably just rumour. Anyway at Sidney (a central college) in my year there are more female scientists than male ones.
i know i thought it sounded a bit far-fetched. seriously, i heard it first hand off the girl who was told by her interviewer that this year they were going to try and redress the imbalance.....cos so many girls are doing science...that they'd take fewer girls, no matter what the ratio of applicants were.
