I hoping to do engineering and I am thinking about doing the year in industry scheme which means deferring for a year and working in industry. At the moment I havent decided but I rang some universities and they said I can put not to defer and then change my mind if I want to by July.

Do you think I should mention this on my ps? Im not definately doing it but it is meant to be looked on favourably for engineering.

It depends what you're going to write. What you've written here doesn't look very good, and would make your PS be "I might do YINI but actually I'm not sure". That won't impress anyone.

To make your PS sound good you need to be more positive - say what you'll do and what you'll learn. Which means you need to be sure you're doing it, really.
