What 'invention'?

I like it so far - I am absorbing all that is LSE - of course - I am saying without actually attending any lectures - so we'll see. I think everyone's sort of still settling in from my impression.

You likely won't find a more diverse place: everyone is from way down there or way over there etc. Best thing to do is come prepared to be overwhelmed, with so much going on its easy to get lost in the shuffle...keep your head above water. Parties wise its amazing, we've been going strong for about 13 days straight, give or take. Academically...classes haven't started, so come the next few weeks, some will have better answers for you on this. I think everyone I've met really enjoys it and is a bit saddened that we're only around for 1 year for the MSc's. Undergrads seem to love the fact that they get to stick around....<damn bloody undergrads>...good luck.

Awesome, so far from what you guys have said it sounds like the social scene's been pretty good at the LSE.
Rjkara, im guessing the "Trent university" you went to is nottingham trent? So how does London life compare to Notts (I'm a Notts resident).

I think its great so far, although having said that maybe I'll change my mind when I actually have some work to be getting on with.

The entire living in London thing is a little overwhelming though but I guess that's part of the fun of it.

Oh and everyone I've met seems really nice although living in intercollegiate halls means that I haven't actually met that many people from LSE although hopefully this will change once classes and everything start.

So far its been awesome - plenty of cool people but its still at the early stage of getting to meet people. Havent been to a single party yet ! (Missed crush because of the queue) but have 6 parties this week so should make up for it. Im guessing that all this friendliness is supposed to lull us into a false sense of security before they hit us with piles of work..
