Do I have to have sex as part of such a date?

I usually do the gay coffee/art gallery/picnic type dates, but have now been invited to watch a film at one of my datees flat. I just need assurance that it won't be awkward. I mean its not some code for sex is it? I havent juat gone and agreed to sexytimes?

also could I just get some general tips and advice on how to behave at a dinner/movie at his flat? Are there any rules, anything to be weary of. And what sort of clothes should I wear? I was thinking a really baggy, shapeless denim shirt dress that goes down to the lower knee. Dont want to look sexually attractive, but dont worry its a really pretty shirt/dress.

ou just have to decide if you want to have sex with him or not. As reading your text, I guess you don't. Then, of course, you don't HAVE to do anything, if you don't want to. It's not a "code" for sex, but usually ends up with that. But if you don't want to, just tell they guy if he's trying. Don't do anything "sexual" because then he'll think you want something. I think the dress is ok.

By going to the flat to watch a movie that is not a legally binding contract to say your having sex.

But seeing as its not a first date and assuming you like the person why are you so horrified about the idea of sex?

There are things that happen before sex, like 'kissing'. He probably expects at least that to happen. It is code for 'come to my house and we can get up to stuff' but like everyone else has said you are the only person who decides whether you have sex or not. And for Chrissakes if you like him wear something you think you look nice in. You sound like a 14 year old. Sex isn't terrifying.

It is not a secret code, this amuses me greatly. How old are you?
If you don't want to sleep with him don't, he'll be expecting something to happen (kissing etc) but as soon as it gets to a level you're not comfortable with, tell him to stop. As for how to act, just be yourself, have a laugh, watch the movie, kiss, cuddle, it'll be fun.
And if I were you, I'd wear something a little nicer than a sack dress! If you turn up like that and have a great time, but he sees you making little to no effort, he may not want to see you again, and that would suck. Cute little floral dress, cardi and tights? I would.

Erm no you don't 'have' to have sex. The fact he has asked you round to his flat probably means he's hoping to fool around a bit but you don't even have to do that if you don't want to. If he does make a move on you and you say no he should understand. Though it does seem strange that you seem so terrified of him finding you attractive considering you're dating him.
