    Hi, i need some help with this question: 'use the avogadro constant to calculate the number of chloride ions in 0.5mol of sodium chloride,NaCl' im not sure what it wants me to do; 0.5 x avogadro constant? please help.

    It wants you to realise that there are 2 moles of ions in 1 mole of sodium chloride (Na+ & Cl-) ...

    .. and then multiply by Avogadro's constant.
