Can i drop out of accomdation after i get an offer?

So if i apply to a Uni and ASK for accomdatioin through UCAS, however near to the time i decide against this. Would the Uni, assuming i get an offer let me drop out ?

On UCAS, if i click 'NO' to 'Live at Home'
but when the time comes to go Uni, i decide id rather train it there everyday( 45mins), can i change my mind and NOT stay at campus?
It's more likely to be an issue with student finance, as you're eligible for different amounts depending on whether you live at home or not.

i think the person assumed you're going to ask for a loan/grant.

I think it shouldnt be a problem with the uni but it would with student finance providing you're going to apply

No it doesn't matter with either the uni or student finance because I also changed my mind nearer the time.
