I liked a girl for 7 years and never said a single word to her... anybody else too?

If so, what were your reasons? Mine were:

* Never felt good enough

* Never had the confidence

* We were great friends - didn't want to ruin

* Rejection embarassment

* Same school

* Different religion

* Didn't ever think i'd be able to keep her happy

* Don't think she wanted a bf / was interested in guys

This song sums up every time I thought about her...

Yeah, i can think of about 3-7 girls at least who i liked (and still do like) for about 7ish years and never did anything about it or said anything to them, some of them im on talking terms with, others probably didnt know i existed(i think)

Nah not me.

But then again I DID know a guy who liked a girl through out secondary school and never said a word.

Still he was a mute and spoke through sign language so I dunno if that counts.

Reasons:
- not good enough
- crap self esteem
- I have a crystal ball that shows me every guy will leave me for someone better/prettier/cooler
- I do get the typical "tongue tied" feeling
- I know that they're still hung over their ex or have their eyes on someone else

yes hpnd to me but for 4 years.. my reason is that i used to have a walking impediment so i was sure that she would never like me... i was right when she found out from someone else she tried her hardest to stay away from me. its quite sad i actually had so much love to give too :frown:

ever since i had an operation and am now normal she doesnt mind walking past me in corridors!!

I can so relate to this!
I managed to get a girl I like on her own..but just couldn't tell her I liked her cos I was scared she would throw it in my face. Dam 2 years has gone and I still regret not saying anything. And worst thing is I think I have made this mistake again with another girl at university!!! I think what has stopped me is the rejection thing, in the past girls have been super cold sometimes in the way they react..therefore I get scared to put myself out there. This year my goal is to not let this happen again.

Don't waste your time. I did this and the person died. I even posted stupid threads on here asking if people thought said person had feelings for me. It is an awful, awful regret to have.
