I think that we start the education system really young i mean we have our whole life to learn why start at the the age of 5 or in some cases 4years old. leave your opinions and tell me what you think

The reason we start so early is because it's easier to learn new things when you're a kid - your brain is like a sponge. Personally I think 4/5 is too old.

I think the age we start is perfectly fine. What about the parents that need to work, its better if their children are busy in school/nursery etc.

In America it is more fun and better social life after school. Over here if you are lucky you just go to the fish and chips shop after school.

i think it's good the age we start... you learn to socialise and interact with people your own age... how to read and write and do simple maths (which is much easier when you're younger)

it's basically laying down the foundations of your life.

The age we start school is good because in our later years our brain doesn't work as good, so better to learn when our brains are fresh.

I agree. I think it's a privelege that you were able to start that young (parents want the best for you).

Well, I spent the most part of the first 5-6 years of my life in another country where children generally start school at the age of 3 :p:

So when we're 50, our brain is just as good as when we were 15? :P

In terms of cognitive functions, your brain is better at 50, than 15. At 15, your brain has not fully developed. Although it would be far easier to learn to play tennis at 15, than at 50, for example.
