Hi, I need the opinions of the TSR members. What is a better uni in terms of the Nursing department and the institutions overall; Sheffield Hallam or The University of Birmingham?

Also, is the numeracy and English aptitude tests hard for Nursing?

    Thanks guys

I think Birmingham university has always had a great reputation for nursing and so has Sheffield Hallam. Its a very differcult choice to decide between the two.But if i had to pick between them i would say Birmingham really
The tests you mentioned are mainly GCSE level ie you tend to take rather 30 mins for maths and the same for english and it is usually a timed assessment test itallis.some aptitude tests are shorter and i have heard that its used in selection some universities who shortlist u invite u for a selection day and if you dont pass the aptitude tests you dont go any further like a interview.I know Kingston,Middlesex and St Georges do this.
other universities will give you this assessment and afterwards u have a group discussion followed by the interview
It largely depends on the university concerned mostly.
