Hahaha wow I've clearly offended a higher Trevs power...haha joking, um I basically am desperate to be self catering because I am a vegetarian wanting to become a vegan, which I know would be catered for but id just much rather make my own so a self catered college is basically essential. Also I would very much like an ensuite which is unlikely at Trevs and very likey at St Cuth's...also it's brown and ugly...and finally a girl from my current school who I really DO NOT GET ON WITH (literally...cannot emphasis that enough!) has been accepted into Trevs haha and it sounds stupid but oh my god I would end up murdering her. So yeah that's why, the main reason being self
    Catered! (:
Ahhh, fair enough, I'll let you off then :P

    Hahaha! Thanks for the explaination.
I was vegetarian for a while so I feel your pain when it comes to having other people cook your food.
I also understand about the girl at your school so your reasons are totally justified -- it'd be frustrating to have to socialise with someone you already know you dont get along with. Its unlikely you'd HAVE to see her but I do understand.
I don't think anyone from my school has applied to Durham which I quite like.

Also, I intend to email tomorrow and ask for a proper response about why we are being rejected. I have friends who got offers last year for the same course with the same grades as me (one missed her offer and got AAB) so is it just this year or what? I seriously don't understand what else we're supposed to be able to do..
I think its to do with the fees..thats what everyone is saying some amazing friends of mine got rejected with amazing grades.. the fees rising means that the applications went up drastically this year.. and they are prioritising students from state schools due to the last year of low fees..

Will definitely let you know how it goes and if you hear anything could you tell me please. It's pretty gutting not hearing anything from the unis when all my mates are getting offers, some have all 5 I applied for St. Mary's, you?
Thanks, I'll see if I can add you as a friend or something (not entirely sure how this site works lol!). I went for Collingwood- it was one of the biggest (more chance!) and next to the science buildings i think.

where else have you applied? have you got any other offers?

Just accepted you, I think anyway coz i've got no clue either haha. Yeah I thought about collingwood, just when I looked round them I preferred St. Mary's. It was still pretty big and I chose it coz it was near the science buildings too

Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Exeter Cornwall and Bristol, you? No offers yet but no rejections so it's all good. Though I am starting to think I should have chose a BBB uni as a fallback.....

I've got an offer for Anth but haven't heard about college yet. Can I ask how long it took to find out your college after your offer?

Edit: Never mind, got confirmation of my college today

Well done! I also have an offer for modern languages (French and German)

Do you know which college you've got?
Ah brilliant I do German A Level too- in hindsight maybe I should have applied for French and German!!

I'm waiting for my college still- hoping for St. Cuth's. How about you?

I havn't actually been to Durham, but from what I've heard it sounds really great. Did you go to Edinburgh? Its my top choice, but you know what they say about the english admissions so fingers crossed. which one did you like the most?

i thought about st andrews and exeter but both st andrews and the cornwall campus that zoology was on were in really tiny towns so it put me off. and bristol just sounded too competitive and i preferred the course at leeds. newcastles my fallback- BBB and it has a really amazing course.

Apparently edinburgh decisions come out in february- please let me know!
