    As the title says...
just freaking out a bit because im applying to birmingham and they need about 8 A*'s at "GCSE" but i've done a mixture of GCSE's and IGCSE's (international GCSE's)

    Surely they must be equivalent?

    anyone have any idea?

And do universities care what GCSE's you take? i mean do they consider some subjects as soft subjects?

They are exactly equivalent. For example I did maths IGCSE and they didn't seem to mind!

Edit: You're applying to Oxford for biochem?! That's brave!
