Four weddings and a funeral, Trainspotting, Notting Hill, Love actually.

Films about drug taking working class people and upper middle class / upper class people. We love these extremes.

We may make more than out fair share of good music but our contribution to film laughably pales in comparison to the Americans.
Take Calendar Girls for example - it was basically just The Full Monty with WI members.

One of our best contributions to cinema in the 90s was Sam Mendes directing American Beauty.

Just as long as your list has Trainspotting, I don't mind.

    Really?
Yes, I think it's a brilliant film. It's got everything - a tight script backed up by Fleming's best story by far, superb performances by two great actors (Craig and Green), great action sequences and also surprising depth. My only criticism would be the ending, which felt a little over-the-top and out of character with the rest of the film, but the intense black-and-white opening makes up for that.

Although in fairness it's very close for me between all of my top 4 (Casino Royale, Layer Cake, Notes on a Scandal and United 93) and my top choice probably changes every time I think about it.

My list has no order and chances are I've missed some classics:

    Snatch
Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels
    Bridget Jones
    Human Traffic
    Layer Cake
    Trainspotting
    28 Days Later
    V for Vendetta
    Kidulthood

Although in all fairness I am struggling to see what British films are.....

I mean Terry Gillians films are often americanised (Fear and Loathing, 12 Monkeys).
Also Harry Potter can be a seen as a multimillion dollar hollywood film.

    Meep Meep.

I suppose Rock N Rolla doesn't deserve to be on the list, would replace it with Casino Royale. But Guy's other movies are awesome!

CR is good but not the best.

Some of these movies are truly awful. Trainspotting and Children of Men are the two best movies I can think of off the top of my head. I like Edgar Wright for movies too but I'm not sure whether I'd class them as top 10 British movies or not(Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz)
