Yeah getting drunk can be fun but why describe it as getting messy?

Surely the messiness is the least desirable aspect of getting drunk?

Why not describe it as something more pleasant?

because it insinuates that you are going to get very drunk. this is associated with having a good time. this is because people feel they can let go when they are drunk. this is why it is called getting messy.

because students are idiots, dude ! Chill a little.

If you dont want to get hammered every night, find a group of people with similar interests to you. Not everyone enjoys getting plastered all the time, albeit there are some who do, and you have the freedom not to associate with them.
