We're not meant to, but we all do it. The fire alarm goes off and your instructed to leave your belongings.

So, my question: Your in your room and your fire alarm goes off, and you know it is a real fire. What one item do you take?

    I would take my phone

My laptop is **** and I wanted to burn my books anyways... well I'd save my anatomy book. Would look pretty weird, I suppose.

My laptop seeing as it will likely be the most expensive item in the room.

Toss-up between my phone, my laptop and my purse (not for money, for all the cards that it'd be really annoying to have to replace). Can I shove my phone, laptop and purse into a handbag and have my one item as "handbag"?

If we're definitely only allowed one item, I'd take my phone. If I was allowed more, I'd grab my laptop and my iPod too. And make sure I was wearing the necklace my boyfriend gave me ( I normally sleep with it on).

    At home?

Probably grab any cat* I found along the way out.

At uni? My laptop would be the obvious option, but if I could pick up my stereo despite all the wires/plugs I would <3

*by any cat, I mean any cat of mine, obviously. I don't have a penchant for picking up random cats, neither do we have a queue of them parading through our house.

I honestly don't think I own anything that I feel would be worth risking my life to save.

I would just make sure my girlfriend is with me.
