I highly doubt a question will come up directly about EWT, it might be forgetting, then I guess you could fit that in somewhere but since it was in last years I doubt it.
I'm thinking that too, my prelim was on forgetting so i hope it comes up tbh!

Our teacher is so close to it I'd be surpirsed if it wasnt forgetting or ewt...if it is forgetting do we only talk about one piece of research like baddeley and hitch with the rugby players?

There is a lot to learn... I really wish ilovelife1234 never mentioned day care, I have so many studies that I know I will confuse. I just hope Bowlby comes up, theres loads to say about him. Theres so much to cover but a lot of it won't even show up in the exam either.

Just realised - daycare is covered very well in the Gross textbook! Only got it when we started Research Methods so never really looked back until now.

Also, for an outline of what to look into for forgetting theories and even memory as a whole check this:

Just reading this thread makes me feel stupid :< I can't remember ANY research, other than Bowlby's 44 thieves and Peterson and Peterson, but I can't really remember their results.

And the exam is on Monday.

And I have nothing to appeal with.

Oh well... unconditional to uni anyway  I just have to try my best...

Am I extremely stupid to have thought that in the STM the duration is between 18 to 30 secs

That's right, that's what Peterson and Peterson (1959) found with their trigram study wasn't it?

I am just struggling a bit with conformity, and the models for atypical behaviour. Should hopefully get it over the weekend though. Our teacher also really reckons that there'll be Day Care. That's stuff like Andersson (1992) and Vandell and Corasaniti (1990) I think. Can't remember those studies exactly though.

I'm going to be all over day care tomorrow/later today, I should be asleep right now.

I think it makes sense for it to be in the exam.

What kind of stuff have you been told to revise for day care? Has your teacher mentioned that Father Attachment may come up? Our teacher said to watch out for that, but I just can't see it.

We weren't told to, no, but it has been mentioned in Schaffer and Emerson's study in the multiple attahment phase, and the fact Bowlby completely ignores the father as an attachment figure, primarily focusing on the mother.

I really do think day care will come up this year, I can see it being an 8 mark question.

Does anyone really think that eye witness testimony could come up after last year? My teacher said it won't but I'm not sure if I should still look over it just in case? I need to spend time on things that are really likely to come up since I've still got so much to do.

No, i haven't looked at that at all but then again its better to be on the safe side and just glance over it but 99% sure its not going to come up...

I'd say it would be worth looking at just in case...also for forgetting is it a research question about one piece of forgetting research?

I can't seem to find any studies for day care except really brief ones that aren't very detailed, I am only revising children's social development and cognitive development in day care and then the effects of poor quality day care. Don't know what else , I'm looking over father attachment now, forgot about that

For daycare, I'm going with Belsky and Rovine, Kagan, Mayall and Petrie and maybe a few other smaller ones. This is why I think - if it IS in the exam - it won't be more than an 8 mark question based on the fact the studies aren't all that detailed.
