The school textbooks aren't all that great so I want to buy a new study/revision guide. I was thinking of buying the CGP Psychology revision guide? My teacher also recommended buying the Complete Companion Psychology AS guide. What books would you suggest?

CGP is only good for the bus ride to school the day of the exam, it's laughable otherwise.
I would suggest letts as it's very well structured and states rather creates a song and dance over a point + has good exam tips. If that's not really your style, Gross and Rolls / Geof or something like that was quite good for reading rather than from getting the main points down.

Buy the official AQA AS Psychology A/B book. It's good.

I used these last year, really helpful (these will all be for AQA A as that's what I did) :
(I've also bought the A2 versions for each book as I liked them so much )

I have this book, it's really helpful and explains everything in an easy to understand way. Definitely get this book if you're doing psychology! Also, don't get the official AQA one...it will just confuse you. The Complete Companion is good too, but tbh i found the above one much better, and easier to understand.
I agree with not buying the official AQA one. It's confusing. My friend bought it and hated it!
