Where is electronic or any subgenres of it? I like rock too and have been a fan for a lot of my life for it but i've recently grown bored of the majority of the stuff. Still love bands like Pink Floyd but Electronica and stuff like that i think is objectively better. I think you can find so many possible emotion from the different subgenres, it is far more artistically varied than sticking to something like rock for example.
House is up there and to be fair that's the best you can hope for from such a flawed poll.

I voted country (and seemingly am the only one), but I don't actually listen to any proper country music, but alot of country-rock, country-pop, basically commercialised country music. Shame it's not as popular here as it is in the states tbh.

You loose credibility by saying electronica and having a Calvin Harris avatar.

I never really consider the genre of a band.
I think the best bands are those who you can't put a genre to. A soon as a band puts a genre to their name, they limit themselves, and conform. Meh. Although that's to more to do with the more concise genres such as alternative rock, folk rock etc etc.
So I guess I'd have to say rock, and country. Love a bit of country.

Other - most of my favourite music fits into progressive rock, art rock, art metal, progressive metal, industrial, electronic or industrial trance. I like some more mainstream rock but generally I'm into the slightly weirder stuff, lol.

Bands would include The Mars Volta, Tool, Muse, Nine Inch Nails, How To Destroy Angels, Mew, A Perfect Circle, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Coheed and Cambria, etc.
