I've just moved into private halls and it's not what I expected. I'm in with a bunch of second years who have already made friends. Even though I'm a second year, this is my first year living here so I was hoping to do the whole 'freshers' etc and make friends. Now I'm willing to give it some time and wait untill Christmas. What I wanted to know was what is the process involved when wanting to move out of private halls? Do I just tell them I want to leave and if they could have a look on there waiting list for the next person and then just swap over, and they then pay the second installment and take over? (The halls are fully booked right now which is a positive sign).
