There's a Subway not far off for the Americans who just want a taste of "home cookin.'"

Dude, McDonalds is not that expensive here. Supposedly many brits are revolted by the thought of McDonalds, which = good eats.

R.

PS. Right near holborn station

It was McDonalds every single day for me last year thanks to the godsend that was the Student Recovery Card - free hamburger/cheeseburger/mcflurry with every meal.

Yes, but I don't eat McDonald's even at home...Subway's a twice a week thing (at least) during the summers when I work downtown....
Mcdonalds is in my view is (of being in London for like a week or two) fantastic compared to the other fastfood chains around that I've experienced thus far in London. Burger King is horrendous. I need to try Subway though lol. I still can't get used to the idea of having to actually ask for ketchup though...

Couldn't have said it better myself :p:

BTW, does anybody know of any cheap chinese food places close (walking distance) to LSE? I know there's Chinatown, but I was wondering if there was anywhere more convinient? Preferably cheap too.

Thanks for any help offered

Yep in Central London, and some branches outside the capital, you get the guys that are waiting to clear your rubbish away and wipe down your tables. Where I live theres one member of staff that just wanders around clearing things here and there, but in Central they do it practically the second you finish your meal. Has lot me a fair amount of coke in the process though, when they've taken my cup when i havent actually finished
