Naturalism is a style of theatre that remains very true to life - Stanislavski used a range of techniques that he used to help him achieve 'naturalistic' results on stage including Given Circumstances, Throughline of Action, Circles of Attention etc.
It's meant to be as true to real life as possible - the audience make the "fourth wall" of a room so it's almost like they're a fly on the wall, watching a slice of life happening before them.
