    If a recipe for chocolate mousse for FOUR is:
    3 eggs
    100g chocolate
    1 pack of vanilla sugar

    How much do I need for 10??

    I know this is stupid but I have discalcula and need to make this asap

    7.5 eggs
    250g chocolate
    2.5 packs of vanilla sugar

    Basically you divide everything you had for four people by 4 then multiply the answer by 10.

    Well if those amounts of ingredients will give you four portions, you'll want to work out how much for one.

    So divide each measurement by 4 to give you how much you need for one.

    3/4 eggs =0.75
    100/4g of chocolate=25g
    1/4 pack of vanilla= 0.25

    Then just multiply all of those by 10, to give you the right amount.

    7.5 eggs
    250g of chocolate
    2.5 vanilla sugar

    half all the ingredients; 1.5 eggs, 50g choc, 1/2 pack of vanilla
    and X5 = 7.5 eggs, 250g choc, 2.5 pack of vanilla

    um obviously as you can't really use half an egg, I'd multiply all the quantities by 3 and make 12 mouses...or just when you divide the mixture out into the glasses, everyone gets a slightly bigger one. With things like this you shouldn't really just round the egg up to 8 and not increase the other ingredients..it wont set right, and will probably have a slightly eggy flavour...yum
