    Hi ,
    advice much appreciated.

i achieved AAB and passed the welsh back which counts as 120 ucas points and i wish to apply to medicine.
However many unis now want AAA and ive looked everywhere but cant find if welsh back can be accepted as an A in line with my A in chem and bio .
I hated maths and regret picking it but a B is fine since i got a B at gcse

Most universities should accept the Bacc as being the equivalent of an A at A-level, or so the propaganda I was fed at college said, anyway. It couldn't hurt to email the admissions officers in the universities you want to apply to to see if they accept it, though.

EDIT: I know my university, Cardiff, accepts it, BTW.

I emailed most Medical Schools asking them this when I was asking them about Welsh Bacc. Most accepted it, and all of those who accepted it regarded it as an A. I can't name them all for you but the ones in my spoiler all accept it. Only thing is they all need Biology and Chemistry at AA (Keele at AB)
