I can't find an image of them unfortunately. They're in big bags (like the big bags of sweets here), found in supermarkets etc., with 'Brocken' written on the packet. Just ask your dad to have a look in some supermarkets or other large shops that might sell sweets, and emphasise that it's 'Brocken' and not 'broken'. Ask him to ask an employee to help, if he can't find them. They're seriously, seriously worth the trouble! Just so incredibly more-ish and delicious. I love the texture inside as well.

awesome thanks, writing my list write now, are they pronounced as "Bro-Shen" by any chance? And what is some nice German beer?

Nope, just how you'd pronounce it here as far as I'm aware. If in doubt, better get your Dad to write the name down on a bit of paper, and then show it to an employee whilst pointing at the sweets section :p:

Don't know about beer, I'm afraid!

My dad has already left and i've giving him my list, he should be back around early/late Mondayish. A quick question on the giant tankards, exactly how big are they and can they be used for tea?

I've only been one area, but I loved the Black Forest.

Berlin is awesome. I'm hoping to live there for a few months next year. I've also been to Munich, and briefly Dresden.

They vary; I'd guess the normal size is about a litre, and then novelty ones can be gigantic. I can't imagine any problem with putting tea in them, although it would be a bit odd, and you'd lose street-cred.

Hamburg. It's so beautiful in the Summer. In the Winter though, I can imagine it being very cold. Luckily I was there for Summer!

Berlin is also good and there's lots to do

I miss German chocolates, efficiency and bread so much

Only got the tankard, but he said they strangely didn't have any feather hats.

It is a lovely place. If you go, I'd recommend going for Sandkerwa (local festival) at the end of August: was absolutely brilliant.
