Hole In The Heart?

Ok this is weird. I just found out from my friend that my X, who just split up with me 3 weeks ago, has a hole in her heart.
Apparantly she is going to be having an OP in November.

My X is currently in contact with me and just told me yesterday that she is getting rid of her mobile phone and internet from November until her Janauary Exams are complete.

Its a long distance relationship so I dont know what she gets up to in her daily life apart from what she tells me.
I dont know whether or not I belive her as she has chosen to not tell me and in the past she had made up lies regarding operations.

Anyway bottom line is my g/f hasnt told me this but while in the relationship she had low iron in her body and she had to drink plenty of water. She used to go to frequent doctors appointments for blood tests etc but never went into detail with me.
A week before she broke up with me, I remember she said was on the phone to me while shopping and she started to feel dizzy and sick.

Anyway I guess I will never know the reason she ended with me but what can I find out regarding this OP.

How long is reocvery time?
How long does the OP take?

Is it just a murmur?

If it's just a murmour, maybe 3 days in hospital. At least 2 weeks after of recovery time after that.

I've got a murmur which people call a hole in the heart and my friend is the same too. Mine isn't causing me any problems but my friend's did so he had to have an operation which was absloutely fine, they threaded these *things* through his thigh and just operated on the valve and he's perfectly the same!!

I had a heart murmur when i was born and now i run and play lots of sport. Its quite common I think, the worst thing you can do is worry about it.

Heart murmurs are not necessarily indicative of a "hole-in-the-heart".
Here's some info.
