    Long story short
I messed up A-levels and had a gap year
Just started doing a foundation degree but i don't think its the course for me

Looking at Southampton Solent and the Entry into some courses are 160 points and i only have 110 points

I was thinking could i still retake my exams this year even though i had a gap year out, and if i did a portfolio would it help me get in?

You can still retake the exams and apply for next year. Look at the entry requirements for your course.
