yes you can apply as an individual but you need someone to be your referee and give you a reference.

Yeah, but why do you want to do it individually? WHen I applied through my 6th form, they paid for my application

You're so lucky - my 6th form made us pay for our own applications. It's not even that we're in a poor area, they're just greedy.

See, I am in a poor area. And they are DESPERATE to shove as many of us into universities as they possibly can, so they FORCE us to apply. Then treat us like failures and/or tell us we should leave 6th form if we decide that we don't want to go.

Ooh, I see our school are desperate for us to go to university and don't really provide information to people who want to do anything else and if you DO decide uni isn't for you, they call you in for loads of meetings.
But they're obviously not desperate enough to pay for it. Even though they could afford to

I think we get specific funding from Aimhigher to pay for our applicationg tbh.

In the long run though, how much is it? £15? that's nothing on what you'll spend on fees once you get to uni xD

    Ahh ok (:

It's £21 for me. I suppose you're right, haha. I just object to having to pay more money on top of all the fees I'll be paying once I get there. But hey, what can you do? lol.

That really is annoying, you'd think the university would be able to find some money within the 3k to be able to provide them with books
