I was solving for k, if that changes anything?

I took out (k/2pi) leaving [-cos(pi*x^2)] inside, then substituting in the limits, the latter expression became -cos(pi) + cos(0) = 2.

Then (k/2pi) * 2 = k/pi

I also didn't explain that the interval was supposed to be equal to 1, so k/pi = 1, hence k = pi.
