    You do have to bear in mind that you might be assigned a lot of reading and may have a dissertation to work on. In the last semester of my final year I had 9 hours of seminars/lectures but a 7,000 word dissertation, several essays and a portfolio to hand in.

    This is why Wikipedia says "The first year of the [Cambridge] Natural Sciences course is considered by some to be the hardest first year course anywhere in the UK because first years often find themselves studying the equivalent of three first year science courses at another university".

    I have about 12 hours, but my course is very reading based.

    Everyone I know doing an English Literature course is in for about 4 hours, so you're timetable is very odd.

    This is me:

    Monday: Lecture 10am-11am, Seminar 4pm-6pm
    Tuesday: Seminar 12pm-2pm
    Wednesday: Nothing
    Thursday: Seminar 1pm-4pm
    Friday: Seminar 10am-12pm
