What is UCAS' policy on personal statements which appear similar? I'm quite worried, as someone approached me yesterday when I asked a question in a thread and eventually asked if I wanted some help on my personal statement. I agreed, and stupidly sent him my PS by email. He then asked for my reference too, the alarm bells went off in my head and I'm now worried that I might be plagiarised and end up being thought of as the one who copied, rather than the original writer of my PS. What should I do?

All you can do is edit your personal statement or submit it and hope that you haven't been copied. I doubt there is anything UCAS can do, I doubt it will happen though because who'd risk their own place by copying a personal statement?
