What is the point of doing 4 AS Levels if you are going to continue onto to do 3 A2s, apparently some universities don't accept this 4th AS Level?

so what the hell is the point of giving me a bloody idea of UCAS points for this AS-Level if it counts for nothing?

Because it counts for something ?

They may not require it but if someone has AAA and someone else has AAAa who has the better grades?

because if you take 4AS, you can take your best 3 onto A2, or drop one that you don't like

Also, it gives you the choice of which one to drop before the next year. You may find you enjoy one more than you expected, and decide to drop a different one or similarly you may get a terrible grade in one subject but a brilliant grade in the other 3. It gives you a lot more versatility.
