This thread has probably been done 1000 times but I thought I would do it again. I'm still at college at the moment and I was wondering how much of a difference things like, "extra curricular" activities and job roles play into your University application? Would it help a prospective students application if they did jobs like Student rep, Student president, sports rep etc or does it not make a big difference in the end? Let me know what you think..

Probably worthwile work exp in the relevant field + an important role in the student union would probably help.
